Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (Classic B2)
Learners wanting to take this course should be able to understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics and read and understand texts of varying topics accurately. They should be able to hold a conversation with native speakers without any difficulties. They will be expected to produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. Along with this, candidates are also expected to derive information from sources like reports, persuasive texts, etc.
At this level, Candidates are expected to be able to write a variety of texts composed for different purposes and different audiences and reflect those in their choice of lexis, grammar and register.
